Abstract (EN)

Ottoman Empire XIX. century, he wanted to preserve the integrity of the lands under his rule. In this context, it has been tried to prevent separatist activities that may ocur both in the Balkan geography and in the southern provinces where the Arabs are located. The influence of Arab intellectuals who grew up in Europe in the birth of nationalist movements in Arab geography is undeniable. At the first stage, the Ottoman Stade did not see these ideas as a serious threat However, as a result of the rapid spread of nationalism as a result of work of secret organizations such as the Young Arab Society and the Kahtaniyye Society established in the Arab provinces and the Arab Bureau oponed to carry out British intelligence activites, the ottoman Empire implemented a number of policies in order to increase the lovalty of the people living in the southern provinces. the meetings with the norables of the Arab tribes, the gifts given to these tribes, financial aid and the appointment of some prominent tribes of the Arab society to the Ottoman bureaucracy are the reflections of the determined policies and measures. Şerif Nasır Bey, an important member of the Şerif Family, one of the most influential families in Arabia during the period of these developments, became a member of the Assembly and during his tenure he was given very important tasks related to Arab geography and Arab society. Şerif Nasır Bey, served as bridge between the Arab subiects and the Ottoman Empire with the duties he assumed. This thesis deals with the nationalization tendencies of the Arabs, who started to move away from the ottoman identity and weaken their ties the Ottoman Empire, with the encouragement of the European states, and the complicated relations that took place within this framework. What kind of efforts the Ottoman bureaucrats made to keep the region in the Arab lands, where the feelings of betrayal and loyality clashed, where the ummah and nationalism policies clashes, and how the Sherif Family and some prominent Arab tribes reacted to these efforts. His political identity and life were examined by taking an example.
