Evaluation of work accidents at the construction site of a state project of international construction company

In the world and in our country, the construction sector is the sector where occupational accidents and occupational diseases are most frequently seen. Construction sector is the first place in the rate of mortal work accidents. In the world and in our country, the construction sector is the sector where occupational accidents and occupational diseases are most frequently seen. Health and safety plans should be prepared during the preparation phase of the construction work entering the dangerous workplace class and the hazards for each work item should be determined and proactive measures should be taken in order to prevent the risks that may arise during the application phase. Continuity of working safety will be ensured by continuous follow up of these measures to be taken. In this study, a large public construction project of an international construction company has examined in detail the 340 work accidents and 131 Nearmiss events that have been recorded and kept in rough construction works. Factors related to various demographic and occupational accidents such as age, occupation, working time, hours of work accidents, type of cause, severity level of employees who had work accidents were determined and comparative analyzes with each other were given. In addition, the factors affecting the occurrence of job accidents and the types of nearmiss events are determined by their statistical analysis. However, the precautions that can be taken by examining the reports of serious, very serious work accidents have been discussed and the effect of working hours on the accident has been investigated.
