Abstract (EN)

Selected sources from this review were incorporated into the theoretical section of the research. A correlational survey model was employed as the research desing. The participants were given a Personal Information Form to gather demographic data, along with the Religiosity Scale and the Sinfulness Perception Scale. SPSS software was used for data entry and statistical analysis. Since the data did not follow a normal distribution , non-parametric tests were utilized instead of parametric ones. Sperman's CorrelationAnalysis was applied to determine the direction and strength of the relationship between the variables. Mann Whitney U Test was employed to examine the effect of gender on religiosity and the sense of sinfulness, while the Kruskall - Wallis Test was used for unrelated samples. The research is structured into five chapters, including the introduction. The introduction. The introductory chapter outlines the research problem, objectives, significance, scope, limitations and assumptions. The second chapter, which constitutes the theoretical framework, provides information on religion, religiosity, dimensions and types of religiosity, sin and sinfulness, crime and criminality and repentance. The third chapter details the research methodology, study graup, data collection tools and data analysis procedures. The fourth chapter presents the findings. The first part of this chapter provides frequencies related to demographic variables, while the second part includes analyses and interpretations based on the data obtained from the Religiosity Scale and the Sinfulness Perception Scale. The final chapter discusses the findings in relation to the research objectives and problem, offering conclusions and recommendations based on the results.
