Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of this was to investigate the role of social problem solving as a moderator or a mediator of percieved stress and psychological well-being in university students. Percieved Stres Inventory, Social Problem Solving Inventory Revised and Scales of Psychological Well-Being were administered 514 (350 females, 164 males) college students. The results indicated that the percieved stres was negatively correlated with the social problem and the psychological well-being. The social problem solving was positively correlated with the psychological well-being. The results of Sobel test analyses showed that the social problem solving was partially mediating the effects of percieved stress on the psychological well-being. The results of the hierarchical regression analyses showed that the social problem solving was not moderating the effects of percieved stres on the psychological well-being. The results supported the mediatonal model of the social problem solving between the relation of percieved stres and the psychological well- being. Keywords: Percieved stress, social problem solving, psychological well-being.
