The unionization perception of generation X and Y: Bursa province example

Age groups that are born in approximately the same historical process, experience similar economic, political and social events and have similar attitudes and behaviors as a result of these experiences are defined as 'generations'. During their upbringing, their environment and upbringing had an impact on the generations' value judgments and their perception of life. This thesis was conducted to examine the effect of the X and Y Generations in today's working life on unionization. From this point to the rise of trade unionism and the transformation from past to present with the development of trade unions in Turkey, which he had tried to be explained by considering the legal regulations. When the literature review is made, such a study is designed because of the limited number of studies on send perception of unionization of generations. The aim of this study is to reveal the 'attitudes', 'values' and expectations ın of the X and Y Generations in today's working life. For this purpose, twenty X and Y Generation individuals who are non-union members and non-union members were interviewed with the semi-structured interview technique, which is a qualitative research method. As a result of the findings obtained from the interviews, the çalış view of unions 'and bek expectations from unions ın of the generations subject to the study were tried to be put forward.
