Abstract (EN)

Urban memory is the trace of experiences that take place in neighborhoods, streets, houses and other areas of social life. They are collective experiences that are being produced, both experienced over the centuries and reproduced today. The place of mosques and masjids located in social living areas should not be denied in the memory of the city. These structures, which are actively used in daily life, have taken a positive or negative place in memory along with their close surroundings from the past to the present. While examining the position of these structures in memory, it is necessary to examine the concepts of history, culture and space. In this study, XIII located in and around Konya Alaeddin Hill. it is aimed to examine the historical mosques and masjids built in the century with their immediate surroundings and to determine their place in the city's memory with the changes they have experienced in the historical process. It is not only these mosques and masjids that have been subjected to various changes since the date they were built, but also their immediate surroundings. Together with the decisions of the local government that dominates the city, urban regulations and the close surroundings of mosques and mosques shaped according to the needs of the urbanites, their place in the memory of the city has also changed. The method of the study consists of literature review, fieldwork and questionnaire. First of all, the history of Konya, mosques and masjids have been researched. Then Alaeddin Hill-Sadreddin Konevi Mosque and Alaeddin Hill-XIII, which are located on the Mevlana axis and are closest to this axis, which make up the scope. mosques and masjids belonging to the century have been identified. The identified structures were examined together with their immediate surroundings, and the changes they have undergone throughout history were explained in comparison with their current situation. The current situation has been recorded by photographing with field work. In the survey method, various questions were posed to the participants by presenting the current and historical visuals of the structures and thus analyzing the immediate environment of the structures and the state of the user's memory. According to the research and survey results, while mosques and mosques that have a scholar's tomb next to them are in the city's memory, structures that do not have a tomb have fallen into oblivion. In addition, with urban Decrees, the structures remained below the road level, while some of them lost their perception level in the city by staying among high residences.
