Jerusalem and its religious meaning for the Jews

There is no other place on earth like Jerusalem, which more than half of the people attribute to holiness. There is no doubt that Jerusalem was owned by a great person in terms of history and religion, socio-cultural and political. The importance of the changes experienced in the historical process of the city is clearly evident. This situation can be expressed as a result of the deep meanings that Judaism, Christianity and Islam attribute to Jerusalem and the struggles for the states to continue their work. However, the study was prepared to determine the meaning that Jerusalem means only to the Jews. Jerusalem, which is considered the center of the promised land, was the longing warrior for the Jews during his time, the place that was fought for and eventually possessed. In short, it was determined as the subject of "Jerusalem and Its Religious Meaning for the Jews". For the purpose of the study; the religious meaning of Jerusalem in the Jewish faith, the perception of Jerusalem by the Jews and the religious events underlying the values they attribute to the city have been revealed. In order to determine the meaning of Jerusalem for the Jews, the basic sources, the Tanakh and the Talmud, were first used. Jewish tradition states that the world was created starting from Jerusalem and that soil was taken from the city when Prophet Adam created it, and thus Jerusalem's dispersal and sanctity began from the moment of its existence. However, it has been concluded that Jerusalem had a concrete meaning for the Jews during the Davidic period and afterwards, that it was the political center during the Davidic period, and that it had a religious meaning with the Temple built by Solomon. It has been determined that the holiness of the city was killed when the Jews, who were separated from Jerusalem by the Babylonian kingdom, destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple, and exiled the smugglers, longed for Jerusalem and attributed value to it.
