Abstract (EN)

In parallel with the development of computer technology, artificial intelligence technology is advancing rapidly. As a result of these developments autonomous artificial intelligence systems that learn on their own and exhibit behaviour that cannot be predicted in advance have been made available for people use. Certain problems have arisen from the use of autonomous artificial intelligence systems. When an autonomous artificial intelligence system is involved in the formation of a contract or causes harm, it is necessary to establish a connection between the legal subject and the resulting consequences. As far as liability is concerned, lex lata seems to be appropriate for the compensation of damages, but it proves to be inadequate, especially when artificial intelligence is involved in the establishment of legal transactions. One of the perspectives proposed for finding solutions to current and potential future problems is to consider autonomous artificial intelligence systems as 'subject' to address emerging challenges. Within this framework, the study addresses the possibility of establishing a new status for autonomous artificial intelligence systems, an 'electronic personality', and examines whether or not it can be created.
