Abstract (EN)
In this study, a belief whose members live in the regions between Iran and Iraq that draws attention with its esoteric structure and which is known by names such as Yâresân, Ehl-i Hak, Kakaî, Rê-ya Hak, Ali İlahî, Din-î Yâri, Tayife-i Sân is discussed. Yaresanism is a syncretic belief with a predominant Shia/esoteric/Sufi side and has emerged in a geography where Muslim societies live intensely. Today, it is estimated that there are approximately one and a half million members of this belief. As with other religions and beliefs, in historical process Yâresanism has also interacted with the beliefs and cultures that it has lived together. In this regard, Yaresanism, which contains many elements from other beliefs, has an eclectic structure. This belief has a close relationship with Sufism. In addition to having intense Sufistic elements, symbols and figures, Yarsanism also has different beliefs and traditions such as dûnadûn, reincarnation, dual universe thought, dualism, growing a mustache, and praying accompanied by music, which are interpreted differently today. Yaresanism has naturally experienced some changes in the historical process because the region where the Yâresanî belief developed has historically been the scene of changes in many areas such as political, religious, sectarian and cultural. For this reason, we think the changes that a historical event, movement or belief underwent in its historical process can be better understood by considering historical contexts. In this regard, when trying to understand this belief reasons which had an impact on the shaping of many beliefs in the region such as the Mongol invasion, regional migrations, the gradual spread of esoteric movements, attempts to make the region Shia needs to be taken into account. Keywords: Yarsanism, Ahl-i Hak, Kakaî, Soltan Sâhak, Serencâm, Dûnadûn
