Investigation of the criteria and importance of fresh fruit and vegetables manufacturer-exporter enterprises used in carrier selection: Aydın provincial application

Fresh fruits and vegetables, which are among the product groups that are likely to deteriorate, are products that have difficulties in terms of keeping them in warehouses and that the time factor is of great importance during the presentation to the consumer. The main purpose of this study is to select the carrier and investigate their importance in terms of exporting and importing enterprises in terms of ensuring the transportation by keeping the product loss at the lowest level without breaking the cold chain in the transportation of fresh fruits and vegetables. In the first and second parts of the study, fresh fruits and vegetables, the concept of cold chain, logistics service providers and carrier selection criteria are defined and explained in detail. In the third chapter, information is given about the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and FUCOM method for determining weights from multi-criteria decision making methods. The comparison matrix was created in line with the values given by the purchasing manager of the relevant company on the basis of the prepared questionnaire. Afterwards, TOPSIS and ELECTRE methods were defined and applied to determine the degree of importance of the determined criteria.
