Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was aimed to compare students' eating attitudes, separation anxiety and stress coping styles according to their boarding and daytime reading situations. 250 students from Istanbul Çekmeköy Girne College-Vefa High School and Üsküdar Kandilli Girls High School participated in the study. The data of the study were collected using the eating attitudes test, the separation anxiety symptoms scale and the stress coping styles Scale. Independent Sample T-Test, ANOVA and Correlation Analysis were used to analyze the data. As a result of the research, it was found that the students' boarding and daytime reading situations did not differ according to the variables of eating attitudes, coping with stress and separation anxiety. According to another result of the study, a significant positive correlation was found between the eating attitude characteristics of the students and the characteristics of coping with stress and separation anxiety. According to this result, the increase in students' eating attitudes means an increase in separation anxiety and stress coping styles. The findings of the study were discussed in the light of the literature and researches, and recommendations were made.
