Özet (EN)
The end of The Cold War caused very important changes on the international relationships. Declaration of independence by Central Asian and Caucasian states increased competitions and conflicts among states. These conflicts stemmed from the presence of rich energy reserves in the region. On the new century, power struggle in the new international system emerges as an effort to gain control of energy resources and pipelines. The first issue is who will influence on energy resources and pipelines and the other one is how and with which ways the extracted oil and gas will be exported to.At this point, the power gap inside the energy-rich Central Asia and Caucasia regions caused a huge struggle on energy basis. The mentioned struggle is named as ?New Great Game?. The goal of this play in this geography is to dominate over resources and energy transmission lines. Included many global and regional actors; this play sets off the new power balance.Although the system in which United States takes place as the sole super power defined as monopolar; some shifts in the system reveal that the international system is in fact a multipolar organization. The USA, The European Union, Russia, China, Japan, India and non-governmental organization (NGOs) show the system is multipolar. Actors redefine their strategies based on their energy interests. The USA strives to settle in the energy cooridors to dominate over energy resources. Russia opposes to American hegemony with its energy card. China wants to be beside Russia. Because China needs energy for its own economic development. The energy which became the most important determinant of the global balance shapes international relationships.Russia and China are tightening their ties towards common goals concerning the region. These two powers strive to stand against the West at least regionally or even prove to become an alternative; thanks to The Shanghai Cooperation Organization.Key words: New international system, energy conflict, Asia.
