An examination of the educational values of prophet stories in adult religious education

This study aims to analyze prophet parables in terms of educational values in adult religious education. Many studies have been conducted on prophet parables, which have been an effective method in education since the time of Prophet Muhammad until today. It has been determined that a significant part of the studies conducted to examine the educational and pedagogical value of prophet parables in religious education are on childhood and youth, and adults are not sufficiently addressed. In this context, considering the psycho-social developmental characteristics of adults, their religious education needs were analyzed and the prophet parables in the Qur'an were evaluated in this direction. The educational values identified in the parables of the prophets for the needs of adults to acquire religious knowledge have been analyzed and discussed under headings.
