Abstract (EN)
This study focused on the relationship between social adaptation and quality of life. With the analysis of a survey conducted on 151 people in Istanbul among adults, the impact of social cohesion on quality of life has been revealed. According to the results; socio-demographic characteristics such as gender, age, education, occupation, marital status and income level have no significant statistical effect on the social adaptation and quality of life. However, according to the correlation analysis carried out for examining the relationship between quality of life and social adaptation; overall quality of life, general health, physical health, mental health and social area have significant and positive effects on social adaptation. It is also found that, environmental area which is the other dimension of quality of life has no statistically significant effects on social adaptation.
