Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of this research is to put forward the relationship between organizational citizenship behaviours and value preferences of teachers and directors. The research consists of five chapters involving; an introduction, relevant literature, method, findings, interpretation and conclusion, discussion and suggestions.The space of this research includes 252 directors and teachers who are on duty in state schools in west side of Istanbul province. In the research ?scanning model?? was used. In addition, in the research personal information form which is applied for collecting demographic variables; Schwartz value scale and Yücel organizational citizenship behaviours scale are included.In the research parametric analysis techniques, non parametric techniques, independent group test, one way variance analysis (Anova) post-hoc Scheffe test, non parametric Kruskal Wallis ?H test, non parametric Mann Whitney- U test, Pearson multiplication moment correlation analysis were used; and also expressiveness was tested on the 0,05 level. The data collected were interpreted and analysed by using statistical techniques with the help of ? SPSS for windows ver: 15.0.The relationship between the value preferences of directors and teachers, demographic characteristics and organizational citizenship behaviours was put forward by the result of this research. The results were compared and discussed by applying the result of former studies. As result of the analyses which were set to determine the relationship between the lower levels of value scale and organizational citizenship behaviour scale, a statistically expressive difference between the value preferences of educational directors and organizational behaviours was revealed at 0,01 level. There is a meaningful relationship between the value preferences of directors and teachers and the organizational citizenship behaviours. As the importance given to the organizational citizenship behaviours increases, also the organizational citizenship behaviour increases.
