Abstract (EN)

IV ABSTRACT Inflation affects badly all countries of the world and all economic components at the countries. Firms, at the same time, the information which is produced by accountants are exposed to the negative effect of inflation. Accounting, who is the main part of the decision support system, can't help managers make right financial decisions by using traditional methods, at the situation where the prices increase continuously. Traditional accounting accepts that the value of the money unit, which is used as a value measurement, is constant and thus the information at the financial statements of traditional accounting are inadequate. But inflation accounting is used instead of traditional accounting at this situation. Inflation accounting produces the useful information besides the right information by homogeneous financial statements. Inflation accounting consists of four methods which are the general price level accounting, the replacement cost accounting, the current value accounting and the integrated accounting. The current value accounting method is examined at this thesis. The nominal value of the money as the measurement unit and the evaluation based on current values are used at this method. The purpose of this method is maintaining the firm's capital as the production power.
