The efficacy of teaching with simultaneous prompting in teaching of the skill of mowing with electrical mower to individuals with mental retarded

In this study, the efficacy of teaching with simultaneous prompting in teaching the skill of mowing with electrical mower to individuals with mental retarded was examined. Furthermore, we aimed to observe the permissive effect after 1, 3 and 4 weeks of education, and also the effect of generalization between equipments. To determine the efficacy of teaching with simultaneous prompting, we applied, among single subject research modells, examination among subjects modell, and multi-examination with phase modell. The research was carried out with 3 male students.The dependent variable of this study is the skill of mowing by means of electrical mower. The independent variable is the education with simultaneous prompting in teaching with electrical mower. To assess efficacy of teaching with simultaneous prompting in teaching the skill of mowing with electrical mower to individuals with mental retarded, we arranged sessions of collective examination, daily examination, teaching, monitoring and generalization. We applied ?single chance method? for assesments.The findings of the research shows that the teaching with simultaneous prompting is effective in teaching the skill of mowing by means of mower to individuals with mental retarded, and after the 1, 3 and 4 weeks of education, what has been learnt is permissive. Concurrently, it can be observed that students have gained the ability to generalize the skill that they learned, with an another mower.Key words: Teaching with simultaneous prompting, individual with mental retarded, mowing
