Abstract (EN)
Ephesus, where is one of the most important trade center of the Antiquity, was called Ayasulug under the control of Aydinogulları sovereignty and continued to preserve its commercial importance. After Ottoman control, Ayasulug became an ordinary settlement, because of losing its effects in commercial world. It was not able to develop among the social and political confusion of 17th and 18th centuries. It was officially and financially within Kaptan Pasha State, Sigla Sanjak, Aydin province, in this context it became difficult to follow the life of Ayasulug. In 19th century Izmir-Aydin railway became a development to bring forward Ayasulug.Keywords: Ayasulug, Aydın Province, wagfs of Isa Beg, wagfs of Yahshi Beg, Ephesus.
