Abstract (EN)
Sleep is important for human health and the relationship with many psychopathologies is obvious. Emotional regulation as another variable of this work is likewise expressed as an important factor for everyday life. The regulation of feelings through thought or cognitive processes is inextricably linked to human life and helps people to manage their emotions after experiencing stressful events. It has been noted in the literature that sleep disturbances are related to emotional regulation, but sleep quality is not sufficient. This study was designed to examine the relationship between cognitive emotional regulation strategies, that is, the individual's coping mechanisms and sleep quality. The Cognitive Emotion Regulation Scale and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index were used to collect data. It is important to determine the factors affecting the relationship between sleep and cognitive emotional regulation strategies, such as raising, family type and living place. This will raise awareness of the affecting factors and enhance the work on the prevention of related psychopathologies.
