Abstract (EN)

The need for composite materials is increasing everyday because of provides superior features and light weight. By different materials combining different shapes and methods, various composites are produced. Studies about the use of carbon and glass fibers in field composite have been done. In this study, rib knit fabrics made of carbon and glass fibers are produced at different tightness value and fabrics, combined with different sequences were obtained from hybrid composite structures. Mechanical properties of composite structures were examined with tensile and shear tests. At tests, forces are applied to composites in two directions which are course direction and wale direction. The results obtained are turned into graphics and were statistically evaluated. As a result of the created graphs and statistics, thickness, fabric layout and applied force directions , relationships of eachother and the effects of composite materials mechanical properties are examined. This Master of Science thesishas been supported by the BAP unit of Uşak University.
