Abstract (EN)

It was recently progressed researches on the history of social, cultural and economical besides researches on political history. In this respect, Shari`a Registers which are very important our cultural life and history, were incrementally brought to light. They were used on vast scale.The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the pages of Diyarbakır Shari`a Register numbered 376. According to these documents Diyarbakır; social-economic, managerial, cultural and judicial structure are examined and contributed to history science with original documents. Shari?a courts were courts with one judge between Ottoman Reform foundation period. Changes after reform coused to transfer the most of the authority to the trade Nizamiye courts. And the judges were the most important part of Shari?a courts were become less. When the judge register are examined; the documnets expose many subjects like topeople?s living standarts, social relations, their goods, living sources, So these are seen to the have formed a rich resource. Total 223 documents content in the notebook belongs to subject such as heritage, theft, foundational, cases of dept-demond, demonds of alimony, theft and disappearance, Water, wedding, deposit, blood money, shopping, ownership, etc. various suits
