Abstract (EN)
Considering the discussions that EU integration process will bring significant advantages either it will end with full membership or not, this dissertation can contribute to the related studies aiming to portray reflections of women in the press. Adjustments that are being done during the EU integration process for increasing women employment have not been reflected as it should be in the press. The press didnot support sufficiently women?s participation to the socio-economic life during the EU integration process and it is assumed that the press has the capital perspective. The daily internet archives of Hürriyet for 5 years have been analysed starting from the date of December 2004 when Turkey has been attributed the starting date of EU membership negotiations to the January 1th, 2005 and December 31, 2009.It has been observed that the newspaper has a reserved approach towards women?s position in the working life and related EU process and stayed objective in certain conditions.
