Abdülmecid Sivasî's work named Şerh-i Cezîre-i mesnevî (Obsarvation-comparative text)

Abdulmecid Sivasî is one of the important portraits of the seventeenth century. He is a poet who wrote poems as Şeyhî, a sheikh of Şemsiyye, a consultant, presenting his ideas to the sultans of the period, a writer who writes about mystical and İslamic subjects, and especially a commentary on sufistic works. During his time he was the leader of the Sivasî movement against the Kadızadeliler, a predecessor movement. This conflict between Tekke and madrasa has been kept at scientific level throughout the life and prevented the violence that may occur in the public. Yusuf-ı Sîneçâk wrote Cezire-i Mesnevi in the sixteenth century by selecting couplets from Mevlânâ's famous work, Masnavi. Abdülmecid Sivasî in the seventeeth century, commented this work under the name of Şerh-i Cezîre-i Mesnevî. In this study, the commentary of Abdulmecid Sivasî was prepared as a comparative text and the content of the work has been examined. As a result of our research, seven copies of Abdulmecid Sivasî's Şerh-i Cezîre-i Mesnevî were reached. It is aimed to create a text that is closest to the original work. It was aimed at obtaining information about the literary and cultural environment of the period with text analysis. Although there is an annotation on the work of Yusuf-ı Sîneçâk, the work also includes couplets that are not in this work. Abdülmecid Sivasî annotated by adding couplets from different Mesnevi volumes. We hope that this study will contribute to the world of science, both in terms of creating a comparative text on the work and its content in terms of reflecting the characteristics of the period.
