Satire in the poems of Abdürrahim Karakoç

Satire means criticizing many issues such as person, society, politics, culture, etc. with an aesthetic concern by means of usually poetry, sometimes prose. Satire, which is a separate species, has a close relationship with the concept of laughing. Satire is one of the lower branches of the comic. Humor, irony, parody, other genres of satire, are another species studied under the title of comic. Satire corresponds to the term "satir" in Western literature. "Satire" is a term left by Divan Literature and this is the common use of this genre in our literature. Its meaning in Folk Literature is "grinding" and its use in today's Turkish is ridicule. Abdurrahim Karakoç is one of the important poets of Turkish literature, especially satire poems. Abdurrahim Karakoç, a versatile poet, wrote love and nature poems besides satirical poems. Karakoç, the child of a poet family, learned a lot about poetry from his grandfather and father. The religious education he received from his father and his passion for reading from a young age were some of the important veins that fed Karakoç. Karakoç, who started to write poetry by satirizing his friends at a young age, observed his environment, especially the village Cela, and analyzed people. Karakoç is a person who witnessed the happiness, love, sorrow, trouble and beauty of the Anatolian people. Anatolian people have always been interested in Karakoç and the troubles of these people have been the most important source of Karakoç's satire poems. Other issues concerning the Anatolian people have always been included in the satirical poems of Karakoç. In this sense, there is an intense satire in Karakoç's poems. Karakoç satirized individuals, society, culture and many subjects, especially politics, in his poems.
