Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to examine the effectiveness of the adaptation program created for patients with tinnitus on tinnitus. This study included 30 patients between the ages of 18-65 who presented with tinnitus for at least 6 months. A total of 30 patients with tinnitus, 15 individuals in the experimental group and 15 individuals in the control group, were included in the study. The study group was selected and the criterion sampling method, which is one of the purposive sampling methods, was used. In the study, the study was continued with a 2 x 2 semi-experimental design with pretest and posttest measurements for the experimental and control groups. During the eight weeks of the study, 3 interviews were conducted and the feedbacks of the participants were processed. Tinnitus Disability Questionnaire was applied to collect data in the study. Demographic information of individuals with tinnitus was processed using the "Personal Information Form" created by the researcher. Individuals with tinnitus complaints included in the study were followed by an audiological examination after the Otorhinolaryngology examination. The data found in the study group within the scope of the program were analyzed using the Statistics Program for Social Sciences 27 program. As a result of the analysis, it was examined whether the scores of the experimental and control groups from the measurements showed a statistically significant difference in the pretest and posttest. The results calculated for the variables were compared with each other using the Mann-Whitney U and Wilcoxon Signed Rank Tests. According to the results obtained in the study, a statistically significant difference was found in the experimental group between the Tinnitus Disability Questionnaire pretest and posttest total scores of the patients with tinnitus complaints in the experimental and control groups. According to the results of the study, it was determined that the Tinnitus Adaptation method has a beneficial role in reducing the problems caused by tinnitus in social and individual life.
