The assesment of the agility for the different age groups of adolescent football players

In our studies, we aimed to find if there was any meaningful relation between agility, balance, or physical characteristics and different age groups in adolescence. Therefore, having evaluated the effects of physical characteristics, which change by age, on agility and balance, we aimed to have the necessary changes made on the training program accordingly, and to set our expectations from football players at adolescence age regarding agility and balance.Sixty adolescent players between 14 and 17 from youth setup groups were analyzed. Height, weight, and fat rates of the cases were taken during the physical examinations, and their body index were calculated. The players? agility was also measured by T-Drill Test and Deflection Test, while their balance was tested with Stork Balance Test.Pearson Correlation Test was applied on the players to determine whether there was a meaningful relation between their ages/physical characteristics and balance/agility,. Statistically, no relevance was found; neither between different age groups and agility nor the former and balance, when p?0.05.In conclusion, although we have not been able to find any meaningful relation between age groups and agility or balance in our studies, more comprehensive studies should be carried out to get better results on this topic.
