Abstract (EN)

Wars that define the fringe of existence for civilizations have also been the subject of literature, a product of human language, i.e. something belonging to humanity. Since the invention of writing, works have been reflecting the triumphs, the lands lost and the suffering experienced. Our recent history incorporatesmany events, such as World War 1, Balkan Wars and the Battle of Çanakkale, that have shaped the 20th century and those events are also reflected in the Turkish war literature. Many essays, novels, poems and plays do exist about these wars. A large quantity of research is also available on these works, especially on the reflections of the Battle of Çanakkaleon poetry. A certain poet and author who has influenced the people deeply in his time and who didn't get the merit he deserved, as he has been rarelyquoted except a few couplets, is Ahmet NedimServetTör. This research is on his work, especially on his poems. Turkish war literature will also be mentioned as his work has connections with the topic. However, the focus of our research is on his poems during World War 1.
