The study of Ahmet Şerif İzgören's children's books in terms of basic principles of children's literature

In this research, it is aimed to examine the works written by Ahmet Şerif İzgören for children according to the basic principles of children's literature. In the research, the document analysis method, one of the qualitative research methods, was used. The material of the research consists of eight children's books written by Ahmet Şerif İzgören before 2020. The works were examined according to the titles of external structure, internal structure and educational principles, keeping the principle of being suitable for the child in the foreground. When Ahmet Şerif İzgören's works are examined, it has been determined that they are generally suitable for children in terms of both internal and external structure. İn İzgören's Works, some elements that are not suitable for children have been identified in terms of both internal and external structure. It has been concluded that all of the examined works are suitable for the target audience in terms of educational principles and it has been determined that they have positive features that will contribute to the personality of children.
