The effect of institutionalization on business performance in family businesses: An application in Tosya district of Kastamonu province

The aim of this study is to determine whether there is a relationship between institutionalization and business performance in family-owned businesses, and whether institutionalization affects business performance. As a result of the regression analyzes made with the data set obtained by the survey method from 70 enterprises operating in the production/manufacturing sector in Tosya district of Kastamonu province, it was determined that institutionalization had a partially positive and significant effect on business performance. The formalization and power dimensions of institutionalization to the business performance, improvement and adaptation dimensions of business scale; the dimensions of development, development and adaptation arising from the professionalization process of institutionalization; There is no measurement situation in terms of a revised view of institutionalization in terms of transparency and a significant change in outlook. It has been determined that the autonomy, social responsibility and consistency dimensions of institutionalization do not have a statistically significant effect on the functional performance, output performance, innovation and adaptation performance dimensions of business performance.
