Abstract (EN)
With the impact of technological developments, the textile industry is adopting and implementing innovative technological solutions that respond to consumer demands and embrace innovations. Garment designs developed with smart textile applications aim to create innovative, sustainable and functional products that aim to enrich the consumer experience by combining various components unlike traditional production processes. Smart textiles offer significant opportunities to meet consumer demands and expectations. For example, smart textile technologies used in sportswear are used to improve performance and enable athletes to have a more efficient experience by tracking their performance during the sports process. Smart textile applications are seen in many areas such as military, health sector and daily wear. In this study, it is aimed to make a review on wearable technology applications and materials in the field of smart textile technologies. Following the literature research examples, the third part of the thesis includes an application project in the context of the thesis. This project aims to prepare a clothing collection proposal named "Digital Night Dream". For this purpose, firstly, how the artistic forms of the garment forms were created using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop were discussed. Then the patterns of the garments were created using Computer Aided Design (CAD) systems. The accuracy of the molds was checked by 3D modeling the garment forms in CLO3D. In order to turn the work into a real product, the process from the basic design to the sewing stage was handled in detail. In these original designs, smart clothing designs were created using LED (Light Emitting Diode) lights. The garment designs created have been translated into models. The main aim of the research is to prepare examples of garment designs based on wearable technologies and to present new model suggestions. The focus of the study is on garment designs created with the use of technological textile materials. The designs aim to understand the effects of emerging trends in the sector on design processes and contribute to future innovations by offering new aesthetic perspectives for the sector.
