Abstract (EN)

Acute pancreatitis is a clinical condition that characterized by the necroinflammation in pancreatic tissue. There are many factors to be responsible course of severe acute pancreatiitis. Obesity is among the factors that responsible for the severity of acute pancreatitis. In obese subjects, adipose tissue secreted a variety of factors such as inflammation, insulin resistance, as well as the relations of the pathogenetic events is shown in several studies. In this study, it is aimed to study of the relationship between obesity, adipose tissue insulin resistance and adipocytokines on the patients with acute pancreatitis.Resistin levels were significantly higher in AP groupin first and fourth days than control group (p<0.001). Resistin levels of first and fourth days were not significantly different. Adiponectin levels of 4th day were significantly higher than first day (p<0.001). TNF-? levels in firs day were higher than 4th day (p<0.001). Leptin levels were not significantly different in both between AP and control groups and first and fourth day.Together with 45 patients between the ages of 18-85 years old and diagnosed with acut pancreatitis, 40 waist circumference, BMI, HOMA-IR, age and sex-matched healthy volunteers are accepted to study. 1. and 4. days recently adiponectin, leptin, resistin and TNF-? levels were measured by elisa method in the patient group, while the control group were measured in a one-off.In conclusion, in our study resistin levels in patients with acute pancreatitis, was significantly higher than the control group. Adiponectin, leptin and TNF-? levels compared to control group, there was no statistically significant difference. Measurement the level of resistin may be used to determine the severity and prognosis of acute pancreatitis.Key words: acute pancreatitis, obesity, adiponectin, leptin, resistin, TNF-?
