The ideal/utopic city of Alevi-Bektaşiship: The City of Rıza

In the history of thought, there has always been a state model, a form of government that thinkers who do not approve of the current situation as a government, have lived or built in their ideals. It is possible to show the state model Plato's The Republic, which can serve as an example for this. The first known example of utopia was given by Plato in the Greek civilization. Small-scale intellectual designs that limited utopia to the police scale in the Ancient Greek period were moved from the island scale to the nation-state and world state scales starting from the 15th and 16th centuries. Plato's state is actually an imaginary/utopian Ideal City model. Although its name is not utopia in the history of Islamic thought, the first work written in this context is the city of Rıza, which is mentioned in the work called Buyruk attributed to Cafer Sadık. The example of the City of Reza has set an example for the Utopian cities written by many Islamic thinkers. In this context, it is the work that we can call the Hosbaht country or the perfect city in the Ikbalname part of Nizami Ganjavi's Iskendername. In addition, İsmail Gaspıralı's Daru'r-Rahat Muslims is another work that shows similarities with the City of Rıza.
