Investigation and analysis of Urcûzetu'n-Nasriyye, the work of Ali b. Süleyman el-Mansûrî

Ali b. Süleyman el-Mansûrî is one of the last period Ottoman scholars who as born in Egypt at the beginning of 17th century and lived in İstanbul. He went to Istanbul from Egypt by the invitation of Köprülü Fazıl Mustafa Pasha in 1678. He brought the Egyptian tarik (way, style), one of the educational methods in the science of recitation, to the Ottoman Empire and spearhead its spread. He has a large number of works about the sciences of nahiv (syntax) and recitation. Our study discusses the investigation and analysis of Mansûrî's work Urcûzetü'n-Nasriyye, which he wrote about semaî müennes (auditorial feminine words). Mansûrî has classified his work in alphabetical order and mentioned fourteen different uses of tâ-ı merbuta (closed T), which is one of the most obvious signs after the semaî muennes (auditorial feminine words). There are various commentaries in the works written about Semaî Müennes (auditorial feminine words) that their number does not reach a hundred. Mansûrî has mentioned three hundred and thirty-two semaî muennes words (auditorial feminine) in Urcûzetü'n-Nasriyye. The study consists of introduction, two chapters and conclusion. In the introduction, information about the subject of the research, its sources and semaî müennes (auditorial feminine words) is given. In the first chapter, the author's life, his works and his place in the science of syntax are mentioned. In the second chapter, the analysis and scrutiny of the work takes place.
