The first temple of Anatolia: Göbekli tepe

The subject of this research is Göbekli Tepe which is the first temple of Anatolia. Göbekli Tepe has shown us the place and importance of the religion in life of primitive men. First of all, primitive man has built the temple. This has been indicating how importance of religion and faith for mankind. This study throws light on birth and root of religion. Besides, this has shown us that primitive men didn't spend their life without religion and faith, on the contrary, they had faith, they built temples and they used immense and rich symbolism. This study consists of three sections. In the first section, concepts such as Religion and its root, Neolithic Age, Mesopotamia and Fertile Crescent, Şanliurfa has been clarified. In the second section; Göbekli Tepe which is the first temple of Anatolia was investigated. In the third section; By intellectualizing theories about Göbekli Tepe, it was drawn a conclusion.
