Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out to evaluate the effect of anaplasmosis on erythrocyte membrane malondialdehyde (MDA), advanced oxidation protein products (AOPP), Na+/K+ATPase, hematological and biochemical parameters in goats. Hematological parameters in anticoagulant blood samples on blood cell counter and biochemical parameters in serum on modular auto analyzer were measured using commercial kit. In addition, MDA and AOPP levels were determined in spectrophotometre by spectrophotometric methods and Na+/K+ATPase activity was determined in ELISA by using commercial ELISA kit in erythrocyte membrane. Results of hematological analysis revealed that anaplasmosis-infected goats, RBC, Hb, Hct, MCV, MCH and MCHC values were decreased significantly, but WBC value was increased significantly. Results of biochemical analysis revealed that anaplasmosis-infected goats, AST, ALT, GGT activities and globulin, total lbilirubin, direct bilirubin, triglyceride and iron levels increased significantly, total protein, albumin and total cholesterol and TIBC levels decreased significantly. It was found that erythrocyte membrane MDA and AOPP levels increased significantly, while Na+/K+ATPase activity decreased in goats with anaplasmosis. The results show that there are significant changes in hematological and biochemical parameters, anemia and oxidative stres are common complication of anaplasmosis in ruminants, as well as determination of MDA, AOPP levels and Na+/K+ATPase activity may be useful in monitoring the prognosis of the disease. Keywords: Anaplasmosis, AOPP, goat, MDA, Na+ /K+ATPase
