Forci̇bly dispaced in Yemen after the Arab Spring: The case of Taiz

The popular uprisings known as the Arab Spring began when a street vendor, Mohamed Bouazizi, set himself on fire and then the uprising in Tunisia occured. This uprising affected Egypt, Libya, Yemen, Bahrain and Syria and brought about radical changes in Arab geography. The events, the first sparks of which date back to 2010, had echoes in Yemen in 2011 and rapidly flared up with the people pouring into the streets. It is possible to say that the Arab Spring in Yemen was exacerbated by youth and non-governmental organizations. Yemen suffers so far from many problems under difficult circumstances. However, the beginning of this difficult circumstances is the negatives experienced by Yemenis who were forcibly displaced from their country or places of residence due to the civil war that occurred after the crisis. In this study, the Arab Spring process, the reflections of the Arab Spring in Yemen, the Yemeni crisis and the migration movements after the Arab Spring were examined, and the negative experiences of the Yemenis who were forced to migrate from Taiz, a Yemeni city, were examined. In the research, a survey was conducted with 499 people in the city of Taiz, Yemen. The results of the questionnaire were analyzed by establishing simple and cross relations between the variables using the SPSS program. Then, the relevant tables were interpreted and the subject was discussed in detail.
