Te'kid style in the Arabic language and the Qur'an

Communication takes place through verbal and written means of language. Words are also verbal and written means of language that provide oral and written communication. A person who thinks and gives meaning to the life, thanks to the data coming from these means. Like the duty of other heavenly books, the Qur'an is a divine tool that provides this communication between the Lord and the servant. This medium uses language in a broad sense and Arabic in a narrow sense. Because the language of the first interlocutors is Arabic. For this reason, the Qur'an addresses its interlocutors with the linguistic forms of Arabic. These forms occur at the form of word level as well as the meaning. In this respect, it is related to the grammatical rules in one aspect and the depth of meaning in the verse on the other. Language is an entity and tool that we use at every stage of life. In this respect, every natural language has a universal grammatical basic structure. This is about the human dimension of all languages. However, since language is a social phenomenon, a natural language has a national form. When this form is translated into Arabic, it becomes related to the specificity of the Arabic language. Apart from these two cases, the language used by a society has a more special dimension. These are the individual characteristics that distinguish one person from another. If these individual characteristics emerge in the spoken language, it becomes a style. Because we know that a person is different from another person through the word he speaks. This is a matter of belonging. This applies to all spoken words. Having combined individual style and content, the Qur'an is a permanent unique divine speech in spite of Arabic that is a natural and national language. Thus, it is understood that the Qur'an is a miraculous divine book by being different from other works with its individual characteristics, as well as the national form of Arabic and other languages, and adhering to the universal grammar. The Qur'an uses more than one type of style while addressing its interlocutors. However, one of his outstanding styles is the te'kid (reinforcement) style. Te'kid style, on the other hand, is not only in close relationship with the universal grammar and the peculiarities of Arabic, but also with its national structure. For knowledge to be permanent, it must be repeated and emphasized. In almost all languages, the elements of te'kid are used during the addressing for a precise understanding of the meaning. In the Arabic language, different parameters are used. Their detection is known through Arabic language studies. Studies on the Arabic language have developed mainly in the fields of nahiv (grammar) and rhetoric. For this reason, we see that the linguistic studies about the Qur'an are carried out through these scientific disciplines. The te'kid style is realized in ways that depend on these scientific disciplines. Because te'kid, removing the doubt in the mind of the addressee, removes the blasphemy in the word. In our study, according to the rule of "excess of words indicates excess of meaning", excess in words is included in the science of usage, and excess in speech is included in the science of syntax. However, apart from these two sciences, there is a special extra meaning emphasis that emerges from the verse of the composition in speech. This includes te'kid meaning and is related to the science of rhetoric. The purpose of the te'kid styles in the Qur'an is to persuade and guide their interlocutors. Because knowing the styles of te'kid is necessary for understanding the Qur'an and removing the doubts in the conscience.
