Abstract (EN)

Asaf Halet Celebi's poems have generally been discussed within the framework of mysticism. Although this view may be acceptable, it is also possible to evaluate his poetry from a different perspective. In line with this purpose, the following questions can be asked in order to give meaning his poems in which mystical aspects are apparent: What kind of mysticism do these poems contain? What other issues become important in poems related to mysticism? Engaging these questions brings about a need to examine certain issues within Islamic mysticism and Buddhism. This work evaluates the relationship between worldly images and mystical elements that are examined within the context of these two traditions, adopting a text-centered approach. It discusses the theme of worldliness in Celebi's mystical poems and emphasizes that although these poems were written in a mystical context, they also contain a worldly perspective. Key Words: Being, Nothingness, Self, Mysticism,Worldliness
