Abstract (EN)

Nationalism, the cement of nation state, is also showing itself on Turkey-EU affairs with the alternations living with global effects. However, nationalism is being projected as a reflex and a natural process, political leaders are using nationalism as a legitimization agent.While this statement is revealing the resurgent nationalism in Turkey, mutual fears feeding from nationalism turned out a determinig factor in Turkey-EU affairs. Nationalism, also reflecting to expressions of political leaders, is constantly being re-manufactured on Turkish foreign policy, by the way of transmission, sometimes to country or homeland, sometimes to nation or public, sometimes to hegemony or independency concepts.Key Words1-Nationalism2-Nation state3-Globalisation4-European Union
