Abstract (EN)

In this study, fibreboards with different types of adhesive (urea formaldehyde, melamine-urea formaldehyde, phenol formaldehyde) and different amounts of fiber (768 g, 922 g, 1076 g, 1230 g, 1383 g) using textile fiber wastes have been manufactured. Some physical properties (density, moisture content, swelling in thickness after immersion on water, dimensional changes associated with changes in relative humidity) and mechanical properties (bending strenght, modulus of elasticity in bending, resistance to axial withdrawal of screws) of the manufactured fibreboards have been determined by experimental studies according to TS-EN standarts. The data obtained from the test results have been statistically analyzed and listed in tables. Obtained test results have been compared with mechanical and physical properties of particle board and MDF. According to research results of this thesis; fibreboards manufactured from textile fiber wastes have better physical and mechanical properties than particleboard, and some of properties have better than MDF has been observed.
