Production of some chlordioxide based disinfectants in different forms

The skin is the largest organ that protects the body from external factors and prevents water loss in the tissues. Skin; Although it has a very flexible and thin structure, it is sensitive enough to detect all external warnings. Leather with many functions; It can sometimes be deformed depending on environmental conditions and age. For such unlikely situations, people have preferred creams for centuries. Cream; are products that are used externally to the skin. Creams, which are generally considered as cosmetic products, can also come up with properties such as therapeutic, antibacterial and antimicrobial. Disinfectant; are chemicals used in various industries to destroy microorganisms. Disinfectants, which have many varieties according to their content, is used in many areas from health to hand hygiene. Chlorine dioxide; it is a compound consisting of one chlorine atom and two oxygen atoms, having the chemical formula ClO2. Chlorine dioxide, a very strong, volatile and small molecule; drinking water disinfection, food and beverage production, paper processing, medical applications, etc. It is widely used in many fields. In this study, general information about cream, disinfectant and chlordioxide is given and the studies are compiled. The most important feature of chlorine dioxide is that it dissolves very well in water. Based on this feature of chlorine dioxide, disinfectants in the form of water-based cream, gel or foam were designed in this thesis. Three different formulations were prepared by adding anti-irritant and moisturizing agents, considering the properties of chlorine dioxide such as being a strong oxidizer, acting on viruses and bacteria, preventing and removing biofilm, and being a strong disinfectant. These formulations show anti-irritation properties without affecting the antimicrobial activity of chlorine dioxide.
