Abstract (EN)

Behçet Necatigil, one of the poets of the Republican era, frequently mentioned themes such as fear, anxiety, uneasiness, and concern in his works. Analyzing his works from a fear perspective can give a new insight into the discussions about his works. Besides, tacit and implicit meanings can be reinterpreted and his basis of writing activity can be considered. In this study, his works have been examined from a fear perspective on a basis of this aim. As a result of the study, it is observed that the concepts of tradition and modern which are discussed in Necatigil's works over and over again are based on "fear" synthesis, a common feeling in all people. Analyzing his poems from a fear perspective brings several disciplines together such as psychology, philosophy, and religion. In addition, it is understood that his works have the characteristic of many other disciplines. As a consequence of these, it can be said that fear is the focal point in the works of Necatigil and it provides a new meaning to his works. Analyzing his works with focus on fear will put forth new things on his writing idea.
