Abstract (EN)

After the decision of extraction of the teeth which can not continue in the mouth due to various reasons, and after the mandibular wisdom tooth extraction, complications such as pain and edema that occur in the social life of the patient occur as a natural result of inflammation. In order to prevent this situation, various techniques are used before, during and after the operation to increase the patient's postoperative comfort. Premedication before the procedure, PRF placement in draft sockets, various flap designs, etc. In this study, in order to reduce the amount of postoperative edema and pain, wisdom tooth sockets were used; The patient was placed in a concentrate growth factor obtained from his own venous blood at no additional cost. This study included 49 patients with bilateral symmetrical impacted mandibular wisdom teeth who were admitted to the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of Ege University Faculty of Dentistry with no systemic diseases. In order to achieve standardization, operations were performed by the same surgeon, concentrated growth factors were obtained by the same device, and patients received the same post-op medication. In the same session, the patients were taken to the denture with a 20-year-old denture. Concentrated growth factor was placed in one of the extraction sockets and the other extraction socket was left empty for control purposes. The patients were called for control on the second day and seventh day postoperatively, and the amount of edema was measured. As a result of the comparison of postoperative edema amounts of 49 patients included in the study, it was found that less edema occurred both clinically and statistically in the region where concentrated growth factor was placed than in the non-placed area. In addition, when the Vas scale was examined, it was observed that there was statistically less pain on the side where KBF was used. (p <0.05) As a result, it was observed that CBF reduces edema and pain formation after impacted tooth extraction. In addition to edema and pain; It is needed to be evaluated with studies involving a high number of patient groups in terms of its effect on pocket depth, effect on bleeding, and effect on bone demodulation rate.
