Abstract (EN)
In the historical process, it can be clearly seen that there have been changes due to the fact that people are social beings. In this sense, spaces have emerged in accordance with the increasing relationship styles of people. Today, in the design of these spaces, a change is made in which buildings are designed by being inspired directly by nature itself. In this sense, in this study, biomimicry, which emphasizes the importance of nature in shaping human life, and architecture that shapes people's living spaces are examined. Especially in the world and in Turkey, the biomimicry elements of buildings and their compatibility in terms of sustainability were evaluated. As a result, it has been concluded that biomimicry in architecture is not in a fast process yet.
