Abstract (EN)

In the 21st century, the concept of development has become almost the common problem of the whole world. The concept of development, which is frequently mentioned today, is not a concept that emerged in the 21st century, but has been a social problem since the existence of individuals. States have produced various policies to solve the development problem. Especially after the devastating effect of the Second World War, the importance of non-governmental organizations in the development of states is too high to ignore. The importance of non-governmental organizations, where people interact more and more in the globalizing world with technology, is increasing day by day. In this thesis, the role of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in regional development has been tried to be revealed. As a result of the questionnaire applied in the study; It was stated that some of the non-governmental organizations in Hakkari province for the development of Hakkari itself have evolved into an understanding that does not prioritize the interests of the people and ignores the basic problems of the Hakkari province. In order to realize the development in Hakkari province, all the civil society movements in Hakkari act together and the activities of non-governmental organizations are expanded, and the results they expect from the strong institutions of the state come out in terms of creating socioeconomic projects that will increase the welfare level of the people.
