Regional development and governance: Karacadag development agency example

This study examines the effect of a local participatory structure and a development approach based on governance in regional development in the production and implementation of regional plans, policies, goals and strategies. Less developed regions can not also play roles in governance approaches based on the development of regional development agencies, Turkey has been investigated in the problem that reduces the role and effectiveness of regional development agencies and suggests possible solutions. Therefore, previous studies and literature studies explored Turkey ranked last in the 26 level 2 regions located in the district TRC2 Karacadağ Southeast Anatolia Development Agency was selected as the research area. The "role and effectiveness in development in the context of governance" has been a matter of curiosity for more than 11 years since Karacadag Development Agencies, which have undertaken development responsibility in the TRC2 Region, have started to operate.
