Abstract (EN)

The increase in the production and trade volume of beekeeping products all over the world shows that the development potential of beekeeping is very high. In the reports it published, FAO states that beekeeping is more important for the environment than it is for the country's economy, and makes publications to encourage beekeeping and supports studies on beekeeping. FAO states that 4 types of capital (physical, human, natural and social capital) are necessary for a successful investment policy. Considering the population of Bitlis, it turns out that the city is one of the cities with net immigration. According to the 2017 socio-economic development index, being 76th is the most important reason for net migration. Considering the topography of Bitlis, the fact that only 15.72% of the province has the status of arable land has revealed that there is a major limitation for the province. Demographic and geographic information in Bitlis has been collected. In addition to the macro data on beekeeping activities in the city, 25 people were surveyed in order to determine the current situation and the negativities experienced in the field. Bitlis needs a regional development policy that is suitable for beekeeping with its geographical structure and beekeeping with its demographic structure. Many of the obstacles to the development of beekeeping in Bitlis can be easily removed by the state and the income level of the people of Bitlis will be increased.
