Analysis of companies operating in the registered automotive sector in Borsa Istanbul financial performance by TOPSIS method

The automotive sector, which is considered to be the leader of the economy in developed countries, is in an important position due to the interaction with other sectors. This interaction highlights efficiency and effectiveness for automotive companies. Changing economic conditions and developments in information technologies led to intense competition in the automotive industry. These changes have led companies in the automotive industry and automotive manufacturers to make innovative decisions in their activities. Since the automotive industry has an important place in the manufacturing industry, financial performance analysis is a subject that must be examined. The performances of the companies in the automotive sector operating in our country and also traded on Borsa Istanbul were tried to be evaluated by TOPSIS envelopment analysis method. Within the scope of this study, the production efficiency of 10 companies in the automotive industry, which are traded on the Borsa Istanbul in the automotive industry, was analyzed using TOPSIS method, using the data from the reports published in 2017-2018-2019.
