Abstract (EN)

Bursa is one of the cities located on Anatolian lands and has an important place throughout history, and it is known as the first capital shaped according to the Early Ottoman architectural style of the Ottoman Period from the beginning of the 14th century to the middle of the 15th century. Kulliyes have an important place in Ottoman architecture. Kulliyes formed by bringing together different functions such as social, cultural, religious and edu-cational; It is defined as a collection of structures that contain structures such as mosques, almshouse, schools, Turkish baths and tombs. Although there are five Sultan Complexes belonging to the Ottoman Empire in the province of Bursa, it is the last Sultan Complex to be built in Bursa by the Sultan II. Murad Complex (Muradiye Complex), which was started to be built in 1425 by the sixth Sultan II. Murad of the Ottoman Empire. The complex, which was included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2014, includes a mosque, a almshouse, a madrasah, a Turkish bath, a fountain, a burial ground, and a collection of tombs belonging to Ottoman dynasty princes, spouses, children and valide sul-tans. The painted decoration, which is an important art field and documented in terms of our architectural history, has been applied in an painted decorations man-ner in different dimensions and styles with its applications in architectural structu-res and decorative arts. Muradiye Kulliyes has examples reflecting the style of the period in the decoration of the tombs of the Lady Sultans. The oldest tomb in the Kulliye burial area, where there are 12 tombs belon-ging to the Ottoman sultan and members of the dynasty, was built in 1449 for Hüma Hatun, the mother of Fatih Sultan Mehmed, and the last tomb built is the tomb of Şehzade Mustafa, dated 1574. Five of the mausoleums are structures belonging to Hanım Sultans who belong to the dynastic lineage. Our subject is limited to Hüma Hatun Tomb, Gülşah Hatun Tomb, Şirin Hatun Tomb, Gülrûh Hatun Tomb, Mükri-me Hatun Tomb. Our study subject consists of five parts: "Introduction, Tomb Architecture and Painted Decoration Art, Muradiye Complex and Tombs, Painted Decorations of Hanım Sultan Tombs, Evaluation-Conclusion". The catalog section consists of the five tombs mentioned, and the structures were evaluated in terms of painted decora-tion, motif, application techniques and writing. The data obtained were analyzed by us, and our study was concluded with the evaluation and conclusion section.
