Contribution of environment and nature education schools to social awareness and development: The case of Burdur province

Natural phenomena and environmental problems, which have existed since the day humans existed on earth, have reached huge problems today and have become difficult to solve. The whole public is looking for solutions to these environmental problems, and environmental and nature education schools are being established for these solutions. With these established environmental and nature education schools, it is aimed to raise awareness and development as a society. Environmental problems and diseases, which have been increasing in the world since 1968, are also increasing day by day in our country. In order to minimize these problems, interest in environmental education and environmental awareness has increased in our country since 1990. The public's interest and pressure on nature and the environment has led to the approach of all political and local cadres towards environment and nature education, and as the public, environmentalist and naturist groups put pressure, decision-making individuals and groups were influenced by these pressures and began to make their decisions in favor of the environment and nature. The sensitivity and positive attitude towards nature and the environment can only be achieved of work nature education schools and environmental and social awareness.
